The Story
A 1920s Tudor manor, forty-two acres of woodland and gardens, and light that moves through leaded glass like it has all day. Maddie and Jack's day at Salisbury House is why this estate stays on every Des Moines shortlist.
Some venues hand you photographs, and Salisbury House is one of them. Modeled after a centuries-old English manor above the Waterworks Park woods, it gave Maddie and Jack's wedding a texture you can't fabricate — carved stone, old timber, gardens folding into forest at the edges.
We worked with the estate rather than against it: ceremony light on the south lawn, portraits in the courtyard shade, and a golden-hour walk through the gardens that the two of them still call the quietest ten minutes of their day.
