The Approach
What a senior session is like
Senior photos shouldn't look like everyone else's. Before the session we talk about who you are — your style, your music, your sport, the places you love — and build the shoot around that.
We'll move through 2–3 locations, from downtown brick and glass to open prairie light, changing outfits along the way. I'll direct you the whole time, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands.
Bring a parent, bring a friend, bring your dog. The more comfortable the session feels, the better the images get — and by the second location, everyone forgets the camera is there.

When should I schedule my senior session?
Most seniors shoot the summer before senior year through early fall — late-summer golden light is hard to beat. Spring sessions are great too, especially for spring athletes. Book a few weeks out to get the date you want.
How many outfits should I bring?
Sessions include 4–6 outfit changes. Bring a mix — something dressy, something everyday, a letter jacket or uniform if you want it. I'll send a style guide when you book, and you can text me outfit questions anytime.
Can we include sports, instruments, or hobbies?
Absolutely — that's the point. Track spikes, a violin, a horse, your car: whatever tells your story. We build the locations around it.
Do you shoot senior sessions outside Cedar Rapids?
Yes. Iowa City, Marion, Mount Vernon, and anywhere within an hour is standard. Have a location that means something to you further out? Ask — it's usually doable.
When do I get my photos?
Your full edited gallery arrives within 2–3 weeks — full resolution files with a print release, plus a $300 credit toward prints and products.
