Kasee + Chiz, at home.

No venue, no shuttle, no countdown. Just the yard they know, the people they love, and a day that felt exactly like them.

A Backyard wedding

Backyard weddings ask a simple question: what if the most meaningful place is the one you already have? Kasee and Chiz answered it with a celebration that turned their own outdoor space into the warmest venue I photographed that year.

Days like this reward presence over production. The images that matter are the ones between the schedule: a hug over the fence line, kids running the yard, the couple stealing a minute on their own back steps.

01

Why it works

Familiar ground means everyone relaxes faster, and relaxed people make the best photographs.

02

Making it photograph well

We scout the yard together beforehand: where the ceremony light lands, where portraits go, what the evening needs.

03

Thinking about it?

Intimate weddings and elopements are welcome here. The day doesn't need to be big to be photographed beautifully.
